Diary of an Introvert a few common misconceptions about Introverts: Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk. This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days. Myth #2 – Introverts are shy. Shyness has nothing to do with being an Introvert. Introverts are not necessarily afraid of people. What they need is a reason to interact. They don’t interact for the sake of interacting. Introverts often don’t see a reason for beating around the bush with social pleasantries. They want everyone to just be real and honest. It’s been quite a while that I’ve written. … in fact none of the instances recently were inspiring enough to compel me to the state of feeling for writing. Have you ever gotten lost on a dark night while out driving? Imagine you’re travelling down a country road. For miles you see no other vehicles, no reassuring headlights anywhere. There are no homes or businesses either, so there is no one to ask for directions - just miles and miles of hilly and chilly unending mountainous road, dimly lit by a crescent moon. The farther you go, the greater is your sense of panic. You’ve been watching the gas gauge fall, and it’s nearly on empty. Suddenly, you see the road sign you’ve been looking for, and you turn onto it. You’re on your way home.. My Year 2011 started on the very same note... :)
